Due to growth in our company, we have an opening for a furniture estimator. This position is located at our manufacturing facility at 3541 Broadway St, Hawkesville, Ontario just outside of Waterloo.

 

This is a full time position with 49 hours a week. Benefits are provided after the 3 month probationary period.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Prepare job specific quotations for final review and submission by supervisor
  • Interpret specifications to do accurate material takeoffs and request info where needed
  • Negotiate material prices
  • Source non typical products and services as needed
  • Working knowledge of furniture building (factory experience an asset)
  • Working knowledge of wood, metal, stone, and glass as used in typical woodworking
  • CAD experience an asset

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent in oral and written English
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate
  • Attention to detail with ability to recognize discrepancies
  • Ability to work under pressure and critical timelines
  • Problem solver
