TIMELESS ELEGANCE MEETS MODERN FUNCTION

Project Gaskin is a stunning kitchen renovation that reimagines a once outdated, closed-off space into an airy and inviting culinary hub. What was previously a peninsula-style kitchen has been transformed into an open U-shaped layout with a large central island as the focal point. The new design strikes the perfect balance between traditional warmth and modern sophistication, bringing together rich textures, refined tones, and thoughtful details that elevate both the aesthetics and functionality of the home.

Project Gaskin Design Details

The Details

This three-tone kitchen pairs greige perimeter cabinets, a dramatic black island, and a full-height walnut feature wall. The layout centers on the large island, which offers prep surfaces, seating, and waterfall ends that showcase the gold veined countertop.

A black metal range hood with brass inlay and a black metal-framed glass countertop hutch reinforce the bold contrast, while a coordinating coffee bar between the kitchen and living room mirrors the finish palette.

Storage-forward features include panel-ready fridge/freezer doors, wall ovens, a pull-out pantry, LeMans corner storage, a brass wall-mounted pot filler, and a host of custom organizational solutions—two-tier cutlery, utensil dividers, a spice jar cupboard, a knife block, and a concealed paper-towel drawer in the garbage pull-out.

The Materials

Premium materials and craftsmanship define this kitchen. The greige perimeter cabinetry and black island feature narrow shaker bevel doors and drawers, while the walnut cabinetry is crafted in a slab style for a sleek, modern contrast. The upper cabinetry is designed with bevelled finger pulls for a clean, understated look, while the lower cabinetry and walnut wall incorporate a combination of brass edge pulls and brass handles, adding warmth and sophistication.

Countertops and full-height backsplashes are Laminam porcelain with striking grey and gold veining that waterfall at the island, complemented by black metal accents, polished brass details, and walnut interiors that showcase beauty both inside and out for a seamless, refined finish.
