The Essential Closet Collection
The Essential Collection by Chervin Kitchen & Bath is where the possibilities are as limitless as your wardrobe. Customize your closet space to ensure every garment and accessory has its perfect place.
The brainstorming and dreaming process for your kitchen can start any time! You can take your time and compile inspiration and information before meeting with our designers. The real timeline comes down to what professionals you will be using and their availability. Determine what professionals you are going to need for your project: Contractor, Electrician, Plumber, Cabinet Maker…Reach out to see what their timeline is to determine how long it will take before your kitchen can be installed.
At Chervin, we aim to keep our manufacturing lead times around 10-12 weeks, but this can fluctuate depending on the season, the complexity of your design, and the timeline of other contractors at work in your home. Contact us for a current projection of lead times.
Wondering what else to expect in a kitchen remodel? You can read our blog outlining the process with Chervin.
Once you have an idea of the scope of your desired kitchen renovation, it’s time to contact Chervin! You can start by either calling us, filling out our inquiry form, or visiting one of our showrooms in person. All our contact information is available on our Contact page. Within a day or two of your inquiry being submitted, one of our designers will contact you to arrange a time to have an initial meeting at your home. Here you will discuss the goals of your project, budget, items you want in your kitchen, styles you like, finishes you envisioned and the space you have to work with in order to get that perfect kitchen layout.
Bring images from Pinterest, Instagram, Houzz, Google, or our website that give the designer an idea of styles and looks that appeal to you. After a design fee is paid, your designer will then take all of the information gathered from this meeting and create a 2D and 3D rendering of your potential future space. Your designer will then meet with you again to hear your feedback and discuss next steps.
The more idea you have of what you like (and don’t like), the better direction our designers can give you. The biggest thing to keep in mind is to be honest with your designer about what your preferences are, how you envision your kitchen looking, and what you want to use it for. Think about features in your current kitchen that you love and what is lacking, think about your lifestyle and typical kitchen use, how many people live there or how many you will be hosting. Bring images from Pinterest, Instagram, Houzz, Google, or our website that show what style you like.
If you are feeling lost on what style to choose or want to see what is available or popular, our designers will walk you through the different options so don’t worry if you don’t have a clear style idea yet. They will ask you directed questions to ensure they understand your needs and style.
Custom means nothing is standard. We meticulously measure so there are no cracks, gaps, or unused spaces. We design a kitchen with the unique size, number, and configuration of doors, drawers, and other elements required. In addition, we customize finishes to match anything you want. Custom means endless possibilities.
Many factors influence cost – room size, materials, finishes, hardware, decorative elements... We have completed projects that cost anywhere from $15,000 to $250,000 – all high quality, but very diverse in scale, style, and composition. We guarantee a flawless final product, with all cabinetry under full warranty for 5 years, and all hardware under a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty. Although our warranty caps at 5 years, you can expect your cabinets (including their finishes) to remain beautiful and high-functioning for a couple decades.
The high level of customization that we put into all our products and finishes (and the intricate process that goes along with that) makes it impractical both for you and our manufacturing team to invest in re-finishing or re-facing existing cabinetry.
All our sales staff fall under the title "Sales & Design". Some of our team are licensed designers who have completed educational programs in the industry; others have been working in the industry for 20 years or more, or come from woodworking and contractor backgrounds, so have an in-depth, hands-on understanding of both the aesthetic and technical aspects of cabinetry design. We also invest in corporate training events to keep our team alert to current trends and in sync with new opportunities. Read more about the Chervin team and our talented designers.
Our cabinets are handcrafted in our 70,000 square foot facility in Hawkesville, Ontario, with the help of a whole lot of hand tools, and some advanced machinery that empowers our team on the front-end. Contact us if you’re interested in touring our facility. If you want a sneak peek, check out our video.

Our exceptional finishes are among the most durable on the market. While most woodworking companies use acid-curing products like varnish or lacquers, Chervin has adopted a superior method by introducing polyurethanes for a stronger, more resilient finish. We’ve developed top-notch finishes for all our wood products that are not only highly resistant to moisture, stains, and heat, but are also non-yellowing and non-fading, even the brightest whites and the boldest colours. Our polyurethanes are environmentally friendly, containing ultra-low traces of formaldehyde and having reduced Volatile Organic Compounds compared to other North American lacquers, all while offering a beautiful, durable finish. Yes, two members of our Delivery team will arrive at your home in a Chervin truck and unpack the components of your cabinetry onto blankets and paper (to protect your flooring). Then, one to three of our friendly, professional, and meticulous installers will spend several workdays securing your cabinetry.
It depends on the size of the project, but an average kitchen usually requires 4-5 days to install. Typically, 1-3 installers will be assigned to each job site (they will arrive in uniform and a branded Chervin vehicle).
We only manufacture and install cabinetry, however we do coordinate countertop installations for most of our clients. When it comes to appliances, flooring, etc, we are happy to connect you with one of our preferred contractors, and help you make design choices that coordinate well with your space.
Currently, we manufacture and install kitchens in Southern Ontario and the Muskoka region, including the Waterloo and GTA regions. We have showrooms in Waterloo, Oakville, and Port Carling to meet your kitchen and bath needs. Stop by one of our showrooms or contact us to ask any questions.
At Chervin Kitchen, we produce superior quality cabinetry. Our exceptional finishes are of the best durability and will keep their flawless finish for years to come. No maintenance is required, other than standard cleaning to keep your cabinets looking their best. Just wipe with a soft cloth dampened with warm water. When they need a more thorough cleaning, add a bit of mild liquid dish soap to your warm water – NOT soap for automatic dishwashers. Clean, then rinse with a clean, damp cloth and dry the cabinets right away using another soft, clean, dry cloth.
