A REFINED AND EARTHY KITCHEN RETREAT

Set beneath a vaulted ceiling, the Project Crosswinds kitchen is a warm and inviting space that blends organic textures with modern cottage charm. Designed as a U-shaped layout, this kitchen feels cozy yet open, balancing earthy tones and natural materials for a grounded, welcoming atmosphere. Rift red oak and rich green cabinetry work together to create a timeless, nature-inspired palette that feels both refined and relaxed.

Project Crosswinds Design Details

The Details

The lower perimeter cabinetry and full-height panelled fridge wall are finished in a striking earthy green, anchoring the space and adding depth, while a rift red oak island introduces warmth at the center of the kitchen. Black quartz countertops with subtle warm gold veining top both the island and green cabinetry, providing a sophisticated contrast.

Red oak upper cabinetry flanks a custom white range hood accented with a red oak valance, maintaining visual balance and symmetry. Each corner of the kitchen features a red oak glass display hutch at countertop height, adding character and curated display moments, while a glossy white tile backsplash keeps the space bright and modern.

Extending into the dining area, a custom wet bar crafted entirely from rift red oak offers added functionality, complete with a sink, panelled mini fridge, and floating shelves for entertaining convenience.

The Materials

The cabinetry features a thin shaker door style throughout, paired with sleek black hardware for a clean, modern finish. Rift-cut red oak is used across the island, upper cabinetry, corner display hutches, floating shelves, and dining room wet bar, showcasing consistent grain and natural warmth. Earthy green cabinetry grounds the perimeter and fridge wall, while black quartz countertops with subtle gold veining unify the kitchen and wet bar surfaces. A glossy white tile backsplash adds contrast and light reflection, enhancing the organic-modern aesthetic and completing this thoughtfully layered, cottage-inspired design.
