The Details
The redesigned kitchen introduces warm grey cabinetry in a bevelled shaker profile, paired with brass hardware to strike a balance between classic and contemporary. To echo the warmth of the flooring, slatted red oak accents are thoughtfully integrated into the custom range hood valance and the curved island backer, adding texture and continuity.
Where a traditional desk once occupied valuable space, a beautifully designed beverage bar now enhances both function and style. Complete with a drink fridge, glass mullion hutches, and open shelving, it creates a dedicated moment for entertaining, while everyday practicality is maintained through a concealed “drop zone” hidden within a push-to-open pantry panel, revealing a whiteboard, corkboard, shelving, and file storage.
Along the sink wall, a unique spatial challenge required a custom solution. With the garbage pull-out positioned in the corner beside the range, clearance above was limited due to the proximity of the cooktop knobs. To resolve this, a split drawer was designed above the garbage unit. This allows the drawer to remain operable without obstruction, while the lower garbage pull-out could still function seamlessly. The result is a clean, uninterrupted look that maintains both functionality and design integrity.
